Our story

CVAgent started in 2024 when our founder noticed a pattern: brilliant engineers and designers at his college were being rejected in the resume screening round — not because they lacked skill, but because their resumes weren't formatted in a way ATS systems could parse correctly.

The first version was a Python script that extracted text and matched it against a checklist. It worked surprisingly well. Friends started sharing it. Placement officers at colleges started asking for access. That script became a platform.

Today, CVAgent combines large language models with structured scoring rubrics to deliver what no checklist alone can: a nuanced understanding of whether your resume tells a compelling story — to both machines and humans.
